Stage 1 vs. Stage 2

• Stage 1 – larger forged compressor wheel + performance bearings
• Stage 2– larger forged compressor wheel + larger exhaust turbine wheel + performance bearings

The stage depends on the core supplied. M47 turbos go to Stage 1. N47 turbos (BMW and Mini) support Stage 2.

BMW:

• 1 Series: E82, E87, F20, F21 (118d, 120d)
• 3 Series: E46, E90, E91, E92, F30, F31 (318d, 320d)
• 5 Series: E60, E61, F10, F11 (518d, 520d)

Mini:

• Cooper D 2.0d: 143 HP, 164 HP, 177 HP
• Cooper SD 2.0d: 143 HP

No bracket modification, downpipe change, or wiring work is required. ECU remap is recommended separately to realise target power.

Order process

1. Place the order for SKU BMW-20D-HB.
2. Ship the original turbocharger to Hybrid Turbo.
3. Hybrid Turbo inspects the core and confirms the available stage.
4. Hybrid Turbo rebuilds the unit with the forged compressor wheel, optional larger exhaust turbine (Stage 2), and performance bearings.
5. Unit returns ready for plug & play installation.

Pricing

• Base rebuild: 3,700 PLN (applies when the supplied core is rebuildable)
• Cracked cast-iron turbine housing: replacement quoted separately after inspection
• Stage 1 and Stage 2 cost the same within the standard rebuild scope – the stage is determined by the OEM core, not by upsell

We typically need around 2 weeks to complete and dispatch your upgraded unit. In more complex cases, allow up to 3 weeks (turbo upgrades demand precision, and our machining process is not something we rush).

• Just Upgrade: You send us your existing turbocharger and we modify it. The unit must be genuine and free of cracks.
• Complete Turbo: We supply a fully built, ready-to-install turbocharger set. Nothing to send, just order and fit.

• Turbo Modification Service (Core Exchange Type)
  This listing is for the modification of your original turbocharger. You must send your turbocharger to us for upgrade.
• Turnaround Time: up to 14 working days after receiving your turbo.
• Ready-built turbocharger may be available separately after prior arrangement.
• If the electronic actuator/controller is damaged, repair/replacement is not included.
• If no old turbo is sent, a refundable core deposit applies.
